The town of Chatham is easternmost in Carroll County, sharing a border with Fryeburg in western Maine. The majority of Chatham is White Mountain National Forest, and the residential areas are characterized by old family farms. Chatham is also home to the Cold River, whose now famous waters nourish the potatoes that go into the boutique brand vodka that bears its name, Cold River.
Chatham can be a wonderful location for those who enjoy peace, quiet and the beauty of the outdoors. With land available on Lower Kimball Pond at far lower prices than similarly sized parcels on other area ponds and lakes, there are some very good buys.
