On the border with Conway and Chatham, NH, the town of Fryeburg consists of the village, North Fryeburg, Center Fryeburg, West Fryeburg and East Fryeburg.  It has much to offer its visitors with canoeing on the Saco River or Lovewell's Pond, swimming, camping,  hiking Jockey Cap and various other trails and searching out historic monuments and buildings.  It boasts several beautiful town parks, restaurants, churches,  and many businesses.  The terrain in Fryeburg ranges from flat farmlands (where the potatoes that make Cold River vodka are grown) to rolling hills (from which you can find beautiful views of the Presidential Range and the western mountains). The homes are as varied as the terrain in Fryeburg: different areas feature historic farmhouses, contemporaries or rustic cabins. Home of the renowned Fryeburg Academy, Fryeburg is often appealing to families with high school aged children as local students may attend Fryeburg Academy tuition free. Prices are slightly lower than in the neighboring Conways, making Fryeburg a lovely place to live in Mount Washington Valley.
